Study Groups: Exploring the Depths of IFS Techniques and Applications

Curious about what my IFS Study Groups involve?

At our gatherings, we delve into the depths of Internal Family Systems (IFS) techniques, immersing ourselves in understanding, feeling, and practicing these transformative methods. The core of these groups lies in acquainting ourselves with this profound material, practicing its application in our personal lives, and drawing wisdom from the collective journey of our fellow participants. Expect intimate, enjoyable, and experiential sessions that foster healing and growth.

Since 2011, I’ve had the honor of leading small IFS study groups, and what an extraordinary journey it has been! I love the opportunity to meet new students, embracing their curiosity and insights with an open heart.

Our sessions typically span 6 to 8 weeks, with each class lasting 2 hours, meeting once a week. The cost varies between $240 and $400 for these enriching experiences.

I teach beginning, mid-range and advanced IFS classes.  These classes happen about once or twice a year.

Central to our gatherings is the cultivation of safety, trust, and support. By witnessing practice sessions, participants immerse themselves in the transformative power of the IFS model. One of the remarkable aspects of group work is witnessing the Parts of others, which often mirrors our own experiences, thereby expanding our self-awareness. These study groups can serve as a preparatory ground for individuals interested in delving deeper into Self therapy, one-on-one IFS counseling or professional training.

Here’s a glimpse into our class format:

  • Brief grounding meditation
  • Concise check-ins
  • Reading and discussion of newly introduced concepts
  • Demonstration sessions
  • Practical application of the IFS model
  • Open forum for questions, observations, ideas, and reactions

Join us in this exciting journey of self-discovery and healing through the transformative lens of Internal Family Systems!

I recommend the following books to help in this process:
